Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): N/A The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, intends to solicit firms that have the capability to construct a project that shall include, but not limited to, the construction of approximately 11,000 linear feet of cured-in-place (CIPP) pipe lining and spot repair rehabilitation of the Southfield No. 2 Drain, City of Southfield, Oakland County, Michigan. The Southfield No. 2 drain consists of 10-inch through 24-inch combined sewer pipe within the George W. Kuhn Drainage District. Spot repairs consist of the excavation, removal, and replacement of a portion of sewer that cannot be CIPP lined such as sewers with distinguishable sags and broken pipes. The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237110, which has a size standard of $33,500,000 in average annual receipts. The project requires knowledge of construction of CIPP pipe lining systems and sewer repairs. This procurement is being solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-aside. This procurement is partially funded with America Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds. The solicitation is anticipated to be available on or about 15 June 20010. In order for interested contractors to conduct business with the Federal Government, contractors must register their firms at the Central Contract Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at http://www.ccr.gov The contract will have a 6 month completion requirement. The estimated award date of the contract is 1 September 2010. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project. Amendments will be available from FedBizOps website by download only.
