Description

In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the 'Act'), Public Law 111-5, this notice is provided for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), intends to solicit competition and issue a task order under the established Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract number 98210AD00X awarded to Perini Management Services, Framingham, MA; MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Kennesaw, GA; and BlueScope Construction, Kansas City, MO. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THESE INCUMBENT CONTRACTORS. The original IDIQ contract awards were made on a competitive basis. The task order to be competed and issued against the aforementioned contracts is for the following construction requirement: REHAB OR REPLACE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND INSTALL FENCING AT THE TUNISON LABORATORY OF AQUATIC SCIENCE IN CORTLAND, NY (DM0043B). The project will upgrade or replacement of insufficient branch circuits and receptacles, panel boards and breakers, replace exit signs, exit lighting, and install fencing around propane tanks. The task order is anticipated to be awarded no later than 18 Jun 10 with a 230-day construction period of performance. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be provided to the IDIQ contractors on or about 25 May 10. Full or partial funding for the requirements to be completed by the contractor will utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements, is required. (ATN DM0043B)
