- Description
- The National Park Service has identified a need for paving work at Baker Beach North Parking Lot. A HARD COPY OF THE RFQ WILL NOT BE ISSUED as the solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of changes to this specific solicitation. The service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notifications will be sent. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The anticipated work includes, but is not limited to the following: The Contractor furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision deemed necessary to: 1) install approx. 370-linear feet of curbing with new curbing to meet wings of culvert aprons, 2) inlets to culverts to be paved, 3) slurry seal approximately 44,225-square feet and 4) restripe the parking lot to the original layout and ensure to provide accessible parking spaces as required by ADA Standards. Each parking space reserved for persons with disabilities shall be identified by a reflective sign permanently posted immediately adjacent to and visible from each stall or space, consisting of the International Symbol of Accessibility in white on a dark blue background. This procurement is a competitive Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990, Small Business Size $14.0 M and Product Service Code (PSC) Z222. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and is considered most advantageous to the Government, technical factors and cost or price considered. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $15,000 and $25,000. In order to receive contract award, a Contractor must be registered in the CCR system and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). To register in CCR and ORCA, go to http://www.bnp.gov.This announcement does not constitute the solicitation. We anticipate the solicitation will be posted on or before 06/03/2010.
