Description

THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful quote. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a Request for Proposal numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0424 on or about June 10, 2010, for the RECOVERY – Lochsa-Pierce Asphalt Replacement, Clearwater National Forest. If the Invitation for Bid (IFB) is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after June 10, 2010 to obtain a copy of the Invitation for Bid (IFB). This requirement is being solicited as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) under FAR Part 14. Proposals or offers are due at July 12, 2010; 12:00 P.M. MT. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror based upon price and other evaluation factors as stated in the solicitation (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) ALL PROPOSALS SHOULD BE MAILED TO: USDA/FOREST SERVICES ATTN: PHYLLIS R. COBURN-HARRIEL 740 SIMMS ST GOLDEN, CO 80401 REF SOL#: AG-82B1-S-10-0424 PROJECT DESCRIPTION. Asphalt Package – 2 Powell- Lochsa - This project consists of asphalt repair with surface preparation and asphalt placement. Work includes skin patch, repair potholes and crack sealing with and without routing. Install corrugated metal pipe, including excavation, removal and disposal of unsuitable material. Chip seal, and asphalt pavement sealcoat. The magnitude of this project IAW FAR 36.204 (c) is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. There will not be a pre-proposal site visit held on this project. Projected start date is July 2010 with completion not later than October 30, 2010 Performance and Payments will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. PROJECT LOCATION. Project #1, Powell Ranger Station is located at MP – 161.78 off US Highway 12. From Orofino, Idaho travel east on highway 12 to mile post 161.78 and junction of Powell Ranger station. Follow signs to ranger station (approximately 1 mile). Project #2, Powell Access Road is Located at MP – 161.78 off US Highway 12. Project #3, Powell Campground is located off the Powell Ranger Station road. Project #4, Wendover Campground is located at MP – 158.22 on US Highway 12 on the right. Project #5, Wilderness Gateway Campground is located at MP – 122.63 on US Highway 12. ( Additive Item ) Whitehouse Campground is located at MP – 158.50 on US Highway 12. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
