- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The 21st Contracting Squadron (21 CONS) will post Solicitation FA2517-09-R-5002, Grounds Maintenance Services for Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB). PAFB is located in the city of Colorado Springs, CO. The contract will be Firm Fixed Price. The NAICS code is 561730 and the size standard is $7M. The contract will include one 12-month base year plus four (4) 12-month options periods. The solicitation will be a HUBZone set-aside. The services to be performed for improved, semi-improved and unimproved grounds shall include: mowing, edging and trimming; pruning; irrigating; irrigation areas; fertilizing and aerating soil; installing new plants; replacing and transplanting trees, shrubs and perennial flowers; tree stump removal; snow and ice removal; supporting emergency and special events; constructing landscape projects and performing unscheduled landscape projects. A complete performance work statement (PWS) will be included in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued in electronic format and may be downloaded from the FedBizOps website at http://www.fbo.gov/. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to check this website for the issuing and any changes to the solicitation. Estimated solicitation issue date is 2 August 2010. Bids will be accepted from all interested responsible and responsive parties. Estimated award date is 20 December 2010 or sooner. Contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (DoD) must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR) to be awarded DoD contracts. The internet site for registering in the CCR is http://www.ccr.gov. You may contact CCR Customer Service for assistance at 1-866-606-8220 (8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Eastern Time). PAFB will conduct a site visit for one (1) representative from interested parties. The estimated date the site visit will be held is 12 August 2010 at 8:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST). 21 CONS will provide transportation to the different areas around the Base. The one (1) representative from the interested parties is required to provide: Full name, Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Place of Birth and Citizenship. Please provide this information to Ms. Charlotte Maloney no later than 2:00 p.m. MST, 10 August 2010. Due to security control, NO late requests or substitutes will be allowed to participate in the site visit. Interested parties who have submitted the required information will need to meet at the West Gate, Visitors Center, and Bldg. 1329 at 8:00 a.m. on 12 August 2010.
