Description
To identify potential sources and candidate solutions that may satisfy the Air Soldier Laser Eye Protection (LEP) requirements as provided in the attached thin specification, and to solicit feedback regarding the high level requirements captured in this document. The attached thin specification defines the high level functional performance, system interface, and environmental requirements that must be met by the future Air Soldier LEP. In addition, the thin specification includes basic information regarding future procurement requirements that may be useful to potential offerors in determining their level of interest in this RFI. NOTE: The attached specification includes references to a classified Appendix. Upon request and verification of the appropriate security clearances, the classified appendix may be viewed at the AW program office in Huntsville, AL; or upon verification of the appropriate facility security clearance could possibly be sent to the contactor's location in accordance with approved shipping procedures. Request that interested parties provide a written response to this RFI NLT June 16, 2010 to frencetta.morgan@us.army.mil. Submissions can be through written correspondence and/or electronic mail. Responses should include, at a minimum: name and address of the interested company or organization; contact information for the primary POC; a brief description of the potential offeror's company/organization and candidate technology or product as it relates to the Air Soldier LEP requirement; and any comments or questions regarding the requirements contained in the attached document. Comments regarding the attached thin specification will be considered in the formulation of the final RFP requirements.
