Description
Add the Following to Description: The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded a Cost Reimbursement Task Order to Humanitas, Inc., under the IDIQ Contract No. HHSH250200976001I, in the amount of $7,032.83. The period of performance is for four (4) months from the effective date of award. The purpose of this procurement is to obtain services to plan, direct and execute a Field Objective Review entitled "(BHPr) Equipment to Enhance Training for Health Professionals (EETHP) - Public Health Training Centers Program." These services include pre-review, review, and post review functions as well as close-out activities. The Original IDIQ contract was competitively solicited as a 100% small business set-aside under FBO and was competitively awarded. This procurement was awarded as a Cost Plus Award Fee type of Contract because the program office could not be sure of the actual number of grant applications that it would receive by the grant opportunity due date. Therefore, a firm commitment could not be made. It would not be possible to accurately estimate these costs with a reasonable degree of confidence given this unknown factor (actual number of grant applications), which also affects the number of panels that will be required to review the grants applications. A Cost Plus Award Fee type of contract is appropriate for the required services and allows the Government to only pay for the review of the actual number of grant applications received and at the same time, provide the flexibility to have the appropriate number of panels. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009.
