Description
This synopsis is notification of the Fort Sill Contracting Offices intent to award an interim bridge contract to extend the services of the current Logistics Support Services contract, for a period of performance beginning 1 August 2010 30 November 2010. A competitive contract was awarded 1 August 2004 to World Technical Services, Inc., PO box 33069, Fort Sill, Oklahoma 73503. The interim contract will be performed under the same terms and conditions of the existing contract, W9124L-10-C-0002, which was awarded as a sole source on 1 April 2010 to World Technical Services Inc. and will expire 31 July 2010. This will be an unrestricted sole source procurement. The bridge contract will be issued to the current contractor, World Technical Services, Inc., PO box 33069 Fort Sill, Oklahoma 73503. The contract type is a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF) contract. This bridge contract will provide uninterrupted services to the Fort Sill Installation pending award of a competitive 8(a) follow-on contract. This action is accomplished under authority cited in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and there would be unacceptable delays in fulfilling mission requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and is posted for five (5) calendar days. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this four-month period would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be issued without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract is based on this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code remains 561210. Written comments to this notice and detailed capabilities must be faxed to (580)442-3819, ATTN: Angela Triplett. Email any questions to Mission Installation Contracting Command, Fort Sill Contracting Office, at angela.m.triplett@us.army.mil.
