Description
Customized Contractor support Information Technology and Assurance training will meet the needs of II MEF and align with the Communications Training Center 2, training model of continuity and contiguity between and among the Major Subordinate Commands of I MEF, II MEF, III MEF, MCNOSC, MCTSSA, and MCCES 29 Palms. This requirement is critical to ensure Marines physically separated in a tactical or garrison environment and from disparate units are able to effectively work through technical processes established and defined by a common and authoritative syllabus. Vendor must interpret and align Department of Defense policies, procedures, and standards with the tactical and garrison employment requirements of Marine Expeditionary Forces. Required Courses: 1)CUSTOMIZED CERTIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY PROFESSIONAL (CISSP) FOR THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS - The CISSP has become the DoD standard for certifying security professionals and Marine Corps Information Assurance (IA) Personnel. The 8570.1 IA manual requires Marines in IA billets to maintain a CISSP certification. This course teaches both the fundamentals and advanced concepts outlined and defined by the field of Information Assurance professionals. The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification provides Marines in the billets of information security professionals with a metric objective to measure competence and a globally recognized standard of achievement. The CISSP credential demonstrates competence in the 10 domains of the (ISC), CISSP, CBK, Access Control, Application Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, Cryptography, Information Security and Risk Management, Legal, Regulations, Compliance, Investigations, Operations Security, Physical/Environmental Security, security Architecture and Design and Telecommunications and Network Security. 2)CUSTOMIZED CERTIFIED INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGER (CISM) FOR THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS- The customized CISM course is the principal certification course for DoD information security professionals who manage, design, oversee and/or assess an enterprise's information security. In comparison to other certifications, CISM covers a wide body of knowledge and integrates Marine Corps unique processes in addition to the core curriculum. Some of the main topics in the course are: Information Security Governance, Information Security steering group review, Legal and regulatory issues associated with Internet businesses, global transmissions and trans-border data flows, CISM information classification methods, Life-cycle-based risk management principles and practices, Cost benefit analysis techniques in assessing options for mitigating risks threats and exposures to acceptable levels, Security baselines and configuration management in the design and management of business applications and the infrastructure, and Acquisition management methods and techniques. 3)CUSTOMIZED ITIL FOUNDATION V3 FOR THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS - This customized foundation level of the ITIL Qualification Scheme focuses on providing Marines with the knowledge and comprehension of the key concepts, structure, terminology and processes of ITIL. This entry level certification exposes Marines to the key elements of the ITIL V3 Service Lifecycle, including the linkages between Lifecycle stages, the processes used and their contribution to Service Management practices. Upon successful completion of the education and examination components related to this certification Marines can expect to gain knowledge and understanding in the following areas: Service Management as a practice, Service Lifecycle, Key Principles and Models, Generic Concepts, Selected Processes, Selected Roles, Selected Functions, Technology and Architecture, and ITIL Qualifications Schemes. 4)CUSTOMIZED COLLABORATION SERIES - DESIGN, CONFIGURE, AND DEPLOY MICROSOFT OFFICE SHAREPOINT SERVER 2007 FOR THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS - This course provides instruction on how to configure and operate a SharePoint server to support a Marine Corps tactical deployment or garrison employment through virtual/collaborative working environments associated with Battle Command Displays, process/document routing and management, web portal access, and security profiles. The Marine will be able to create customized portals, enterprise content indexing, and enable collaborative features. Delivery: 1) To be conducted aboard Camp Lejeune, NC. 2)The vendor may assist in providing equipment to conduct the training in support of the applicable "hands on" classes. 3)The vendor will provide a mobile testing suite in support of all required professional certifications that can be delivered electronically. 4)The courseware for each student will be provided via CD and/or manuals or web access. 5)The vendor may use a wide variety of reference materials, technical manuals, military doctrine, and internet information. Commercial guidelines and scenarios are not always directly applicable to training and therefore the vendor must customize the material to support II MEF standards, policies, and procedures as defined by the II MEF AC/S G-6 or CTC-2. The vendor may exercise independent judgment in researching, choosing, interpreting, modifying, and applying available guidelines for adaptation to situations, within the boundaries and parameters established and approved by the II MEF AC/S G-6. Responses to this RFI should not exceed twenty (20) pages and must contain the following information: a capability statement which includes information on the type of training and technology used, pricing information, service history. NOTE: This Request for Information is for planning purposes only and is issued in accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these items or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such.
