Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, National Geospatial Programs Office has a requirement for high resolution ortho-rectified imagery over the City of Cheyenne, Warren Airforce Base and the surrounding areas of Laramie County, Wyoming. The USGS has the opportunity to obtain all of this orthoimagery from the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming for 25% of the cost of the entire project because other governmental entities and local governments are contributing to this project. This task will consist of two components, aerial imagery aquisition and digital orthophoto production. The two components will be collected to the following specifications: 1) data collected during leaf off season; 2) 6 inch resolution natural color ortho-rectified imagery; 3) UTM Zone 13 North, meters. The data delivery date is no later than 12/31/2010. All deliverable data and documentation shall be free from restrictions regarding use and distribution. Based on information available at this time, the government considers the item specified as a sole source from the City of Cheyenne, 309 West 20th Street Suite 1200, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001and proposes to negotiate with that organization on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required services and provide considerable cost sharing are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement, and such materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Since no solicitation document exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-responsive to this request without further consideration. Affirmative response shall be received by this office by close of business June 9, 2010 by 3:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. This notice may represent the Government's only official notice of this procurement.
