- Description
- RECOVERY: This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and is subject tot he requirements of the act. This project will consist of replacing the decking and reconditioning of the Bailey Bridge. It will consist of removal of dry rot wood planks and steel running plates, and installation of 153 feet of new decking material, for Forest Service Road 11S12 bridge, across the Kings River. Specifications will be available on www.fbo.gov on or around June 9, 2010. The project is located on the High Sierra Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest. From Clovis, CA proceed east on SR-168 to Herndon Ave. Continue traveling east on Herndon Ave. 6.4 miles to Academy Ave. Proceed south on Academy Ave. 6.3 miles to Belmont Ave. Travel east on Belmont Ave. At 5.2 miles east on Belmont Ave., the road name changes to Trimmer Springs Road. Continue on Trimmer Springs Road 40 miles to the bridge site. Estimated date to start work is September 2010. Completion of work, November 2010 The government estimate is between $100,000 and $500,000 Contracting Officer may schedule a Pre-Bid Tour, date to be announced. Bidders may arrange to view the site by contacting Suzanne Hendrickson, Telephone (559) 297-0706, ext. 4852 at the Supervisor's Office, Sierra National Forest, 1600 Tollhouse Road, Clovis, Ca. 93611, between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday (except legal holidays).
