Description
The SSC Security Education and Training Program is professionalizing thesecurity profession by synchronizing the security education, training and career development programs. The SSC is collaborating with academia to develop a comprehensive degree program that will 1) attract college students to the security profession; 2) enable graduates to become more effective entry-level security professionals. The SSC, through coordination with the ODNI Chief Human Capital Office and the IC Security Education and Training Council, is codifying career development programs that will provide the security professional a career path that encourages exceptional performance at their home agency or in a joint duty assignment. The training program is designed to enhance the IC security professionals' ability to enable the mission and support their ascension up the career lattice. This BAA is open to all academic institutions. The applicant institutioni.e., the lead institution that will be the primary awardee for purposes of award executionmust be an accredited college, university, or other four-year degree- granting institution in the U.S., its territories or possessions, that provides post- secondary school courses of study. The applicant may be a community college, if it is partnered with an institution that grants at least baccalaureate degrees. SSCA will conduct an Information Forum for potential offerors. It is scheduled for 9 June 2010 from 0900 to 1600 Charleston, South Carolina. The purpose of the briefing is to provide potential offerors with a better understanding of the program.
