- Purpose of this notification is to answer some questions regarding this solicitation for the M249 Lightweight Collapsible Buttstock (LCBS) Assemblies and clarify TDP 3D availability. Q - 1) Under Supplemental Information, page 3 of 159, and under the Freedom of Information Act, I understand that we can request to you the price history for this assembly.A 1) If this is the rout you wish to take, please call Kim Pelka in our legal department.Phone # 973-724-6589 e-mail Kimberly.pelka@us.army.mil Q - 2) Is there a provision on this contract for the Government to set up the facility and the equipment to run this project with Government-owned facilities and equipment?A 2) NO - currently 8a companies are manufacturing this part Q 3) Is there a requirement of a FA for every year of the contract?A 3) The Government will order as necessary. The offeror needs to propose as required. Q 4) Is the Government buying up to 172k assemblies per year for the 5 years of the contract?A 4) The Min / Max levels for this solicitation are as stated.Once the Min quantities are reached then the Government is NOT OBLIGATED to procure any more Items on any ensuing contract from this solicitation. Once the Max quantities are reached then the Government cannot procure any more Items on any ensuing contract from this solicitation, even if the Max quantities are reached in the first year.Please Note: As stated in the solicitation - The entire contract quantity (172k) may be ordered in the first year. Q 5) What procedures do offerors need to follow so that they can send drawings to subcontractors in order to obtain quotes for various items in the TDP?A 5) Regarding TDP distributions, please see Section A of the solicitation. Clarification: A 3D TDP package for Solicitation W15QKN-10-R-0408 is not authorized for release at this time.
