- This is a sources sought notice seeking information from small businesses including HUBZone, 8(a), and service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) concerns that have an interest in submitting an offer on project JFSD200982/200982B, Add/Repair Casket Storage Building 668 at Grand Forks AFB ND. The project includes, but is not limited to, constructing an approximately 3,000 SF metal addition with concrete floor, extending/updating all utilities as needed (HVAC, electrical, fire alarm/mass notification), and repairing existing interior spaces (interior office area, including bathroom, replacement of utilities such as HVAC, electrical, and fire alarm/mass notification). Additionally, the project includes a sidewalk addition and repair to the existing parking lot. Should a Request for Proposal be issued, the magnitude is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The resultant contract awarded from any contemplated solicitation will be a firm fixed price contract. This office is requesting that all interested and qualified small businesses, HUBZone small business concerns, 8(a) contractors, and service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement and proof of HUBZone, 8(a), or SDVOSB status. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) a summary of how your firm is uniquely capable and qualified to handle this type of construction, (2) a summary of projects completed similar to the project outlined above, and (3) a statement of your current business size status under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236210, Industrial Building Construction. The small business size standard is $33.5 million. The information capability statement and data noted above must be submitted in written format by fax to 701-747-4215 or by e-mail to wanda.fellers@grandforks.af.mil not later than 12:00 PM (CDT) on 7 June 2010. This sources sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and IS NOT a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The CCR website is http:www.ccr.gov/. Also, the successful offeror must have an active Online Representation and Certification (ORCA). The ORCA website is http://orca.bpn.gov/. This sources sought notice shall not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a solicitation/contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request.
