Description
This is a revision of the combined synopsis/solicitation for N61331-10-T-5905, which was posted on 14 May 2010. The purpose of this revision is to remove the sole source set-aside to GE Intelligent Platforms and open this requirement on a limited competition basis to GE Intelligent Platforms and its authorized distributors. The closing date for the combined synopsis/solicitation is also changed from 20 May 2010 to 3 June 2010. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items or slightly modified COTS items under FAR Part 13 prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required items under Request for Quote (RFQ) N61331-10-T-5905. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-38. The applicable NAICS Code is 334111, FSC 7021, and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, FL intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price commercial contract for the following: CLIN 0001 - four hundred twenty four (424) 6U CPCI with dual PMC slots, Blue Light Hot Swap, 10/100/1000TX Input/Output (I/O), Revision D, P/N CP238/TA. This COTS item is being requisitioned in support of Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Navigation (C4N) systems Service Life Extension (SLEP) Program. This item is manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms, 12090 South Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL 35803-3308. The COTS item being purchased was specifically tested and evaluated against the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) technical requirements as provided on the LCAC C4N System Baseline Configuration 3 (SBC3) product specification during the product's initial prototyping and evaluation phase. Only this item, provided by GE Intelligent Platforms and its authorized distributors has been approved for LCAC C4N use.
