Description
The purpose of this posting to perform Market Research. This is not a solicitation and this acquisition is not funded at this time. The United States has an upcoming requirement for Sports Officials for the following sports: Flag Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball. DUE ARTICLE VI OF SUPPLEMENTARY AGREEMENT 3 TO THE DEFENSE AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION AGREEMENT (1980) BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND THE GOVERNMENT OF TURKEY, THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE INTENDS TO AWARD THIS UPCOMING REQUIREMENT (ONCE FUNDED) TO A BUSINESS CONCERN WITHIN THE COUNTRY OF TURKEY. THEREFORE, PROPOSALS FROM BUSINESS CONCERNS OUTSIDE OF TURKEY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The acquisition will require contractors to provide officials trained and qualified in the sport they are officiating. In addition to officials, scorekeepers and timekeepers will be required for each sport per game. Clean, neat, and proper uniforms will be worn when officiating games. The acquisition will require contractors to provide uniforms and any necessary equipment needed to officiate games (such as whistles, stop watches, and penalty flags). The acquisition anticipates funding 75 flag football games, 210 basketball games, 90 volleyball games, and 90 softball games in a one year period beginning 1 October 2010. All games will be at various times on Incirlik Airbase. Any contract resulting from this acquisition will make payment on a per game basis. Interested vendors that can satisfy the requirement are requested to register as an interested vendor on the Federal Business Opportunities web page under FA5685-10-Q-0021 and e-mail the 39th Contracting Squadron Base Support Flight at lgcb.confirmations@incirlik.af.mil. The United States Government will only award contracts to Turkish concerns registed with the Central Contractors database at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx.
