- Interested parties are hereby notified the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Portland District, will hold an informational meeting to share detailed information about the planned rehabilitation of the three rubble-mound jetties at the Mouth of the Columbia River. This meeting is intended to be an opportunity for potential contractors to hear from the Government about plans for the rehabilitation, and to share known information that should be considered as the Government completes its design for the project. Where: Fort Vancouver Red Cross Convalescent House/ Hamilton Hall (605 Barnes Vancouver, WA 98661) When: June 4, 2010 9 a.m. to noon Who: Open to any interested parties who have information or an interest in the rehabilitation of the jetty system at the mouth of the Columbia River. Of particular interest to the Government are companies that may bid on the project, operate quarries, or may supplies equipment typically used in jetty construction (cranes, dump trucks, etc.) For more information on the Corps of Engineers plan to rehabilitate jetties, please visit http://www.nwp.usace.army.mil/issues/jetty/home.asp
