THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER: NAVFAC MIDWEST'S IDIQ ROOFING MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT(MACC) RECOVERY ACT OF 2009 CONTRACT ANNOUNCEMENT Rock Industries, Inc., an 8(A) Small Business, Pontiac, MI 48341, is being awarded a Firm Fixed Price Contract in the amount of $1,172,019 for the construction of the Hull Technician School Roof, Building 520, at Great Lakes Naval Base. Work will be performed at Great Lakes, IL and is expected to be completed by September 2010. Funds will be provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This contract was competitively procured with two offerors solicited, and two offers received, from the existing Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Multiple Award Construction Contractors. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Midwest, Great Lakes, IL is the contracting activity for Contract Number N40083-05-D-4813, Task Order 0012. The work to be performed provides for the removal of the existing built-up inverted roofing system, gravel surfacing, wood blocking, flashing, counter flashing, drain rings, strainers, expansion joints and installation of a new roofing system at Building 520 (total square feet is 57, 251).
