- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD ON A SOLE-SOURCE BASIS Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements", the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) intends to award a sole-source contract to Northwest Marine Technology, Shaw Island, WA to provide GPS enabled fish tags and equipment to properly track fish populations in the Lower Great Lakes.Northwest Marine Technology (NWT) has a patent right on coded-wire tags and tagging technology. U.S Fish and Wildlife has been using coded-wire tagging as the standard with which to assess the success of lake trout restoration in lakes Erie and Ontario for 30 years. Classification System (NAICS) Code for action is 12511 - Finfish Farming and Fish Hatcheries. This is not a solicitation for quotations, but rather a notice of the Agency's intent to make a sole-source award to NWT. There will be no solicitation issued or available. This notice is for information only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS, AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS.
