- Fort Randall Historic Chapel Restoration, Pickstown, SD Work involves removal, repair and replacement of chalkstone veneer blocks on the exterior walls of the historic Fort Randall Chapel building, Pickstown, SD. Work would include removing existing deteriorated and crumbling hand cut chalkstone veneer blocks (size varies; approx. 12 x 16 x 4) and rubble fill, stabilizing the wall, and replacing using reused or new hand cut chalkstone blocks of varying sizes and special NHL mortar mix. Contractor must be able to prove qualifications as follows: Previous experience is required in providing masonry preservation and stabilization work on National Historic Properties Act National Registered sites, specifically dealing with chalkstone materials, consistent with the Secretary of Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
