- Description
- The VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division, Lexington, Kentucky has a construction requirement for Project 596A4-10-101, Replace Low Voltage Equipment. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work as required by the drawings and specifications. Work shall include removal, replacement, and relocation of various system components as identified in the drawings. NAICS code assigned to this project is 238210 with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. The estimated cost range for this project is $1,000,000.00 to $2,000,000.00. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) CONTRACTORS. The SDVOSB Contractor is required to perform a minimum of 25% of the construction work on the project. This does not include paperwork, submittals, etc. The SDVOSB must be small under relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following website: www.vip.vetbiz.gov www.ccr.gov https://orca/bpn.gov and https://vets100.vets.dol.gov to be eligible for award. Bidders must ensure their registrations are updated, correct, and have not expired. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the solicitation. This solicitation will be posted on or about June 14, 2010 at the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps) website www.fedbizopps.gov. Bid opening will be at 2:00 p.m. (local time), July 13, 2010 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 2250 Leestown Rd., Lexington Kentucky, Bldg. 2, Room 216, Engineering Conference Room. Award is subject to availability of funds. CONTRACTORS SHALL SUBMIT JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENTS WITH THEIR BID. CONTRACTORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SUBMIT MORE THAN THREE BIDS IN A TWO YEAR PERIOD UNDER THE NAME OF THEIR JOINT VENTURE. All questions shall be in writing and addressed to the Contracting Officer at connie.mabley@va.gov. The deadline for receipt of questions is 10 days prior to bid opening. No telephone calls will be returned.
