Description
NOTICE OF SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY - This notice is being issued soley to notify firms of potential subcontracting/supplier opportunities. Project Description : This project is located on National Forest Development (NFD) Road #030 on the Salmon River approximately 20 miles west of the city of North Fork, Idaho. The Project includes removal of 3 existing bridges, the design/construction of 2 new bridges, and the design/construction of one bottomless structure. Two existing bridges are on the Salmon River and one existing bridge is located on Pine Creek, a small tributary to the Salmon River. In addition, the Project includes reconstruction of approximately 0.32 miles of existing two lane roadways approaching the new bridges, and approximately 11.5 miles of re-graveling. Phase 2 : This solicitation initiates Phase 2 of the 2-phase design/build process. Phase 1 proposals were solicited under Solicitation #DTFH70-09-R-00033. Short-listed firms have been asked to compete for contract award under this Phase 2. Phase 2 documents are not public and will not be posted on the FBO. We anticipate that this Phase 2 solicitation will be issued on or shortly after May 28, 2010. Add your name to the IVL - If you would like to be considered as a subcontractor or supplier, please add your name to the Interested Venders List so the short-listed firms will know of your interest in this project. Estimated design/build PRICE RANGE is between $5,000,000 and $9,000,000. This paragraph announces possible financing available to small businesses. The three types of businesses that are eligible to receive a loan through this program are: (1) Firms that have received DBE certification from a state or local transportation agency; (2) Firms that have been certified by the SBA as a Small Business; and (3) Firms that have received a disability rating by the Veteran's Administration and have certified themselves as a SDVOSB. Start-up businesses are not eligible to receive a STLP line of credit and should contact the SBA for information about other possible forms of financial assistance. (NOTE - This paragraph does not reserve this solicitation for these types of business) : The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
