Description
Scope of Contract: The project involves replacement of an existing 71”x47” corrugated steel pipe-arch with a new precast concrete tri-deck bridge with precast concrete footings and wingwalls. Other work includes miscellaneous local road work. Project Location: The project is located approximately 25 miles southwest of West Yellowstone, MT. Follow US Highway 20 west from West Yellowstone for approximately 6 miles to the Denny Creek County Road. Turn right and follow the road for 11 miles to the project location. Equipment Specifications: Equipment shall be in good mechanical and operating condition, fully capable of performing all phases of the specified work. Winter Conditions: Winter shutdown in the project area due to cold and snow conditions typically occurs between November 1 and June 1 of each year but can vary considerably depending on the specific year. Spring Road Closures: Access roads to the project may have spring breakup restrictions to heavy hauling. In this area spring breakup restrictions typically occur between March 30 and June 1 of each year but can vary depending on the specific year. Contact the COR for specific road by road information. Price Range: Between $100,000 and $250,000 Period of Performance: The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 30 August 2011. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. Government Furnished Property: None Job Site Inspection: Bidders should inspect the job site prior to submitting a bid. In this regard, bidders should note Contract Clause Number, FAR 52.236-3, titled “Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work.” Scheduled Pre-bid Tour: None Scheduled. Additional site visit conditions (such as closures, snow levels, etc) are available by calling Jonathan Kempff - Forest Supervisor's Office, Gallatin NF, Bozeman, Montana at 406-587-6732, during normal business hours M-F 8-4:30 PM. It is anticipated the solicitation and all bidding materials will be posted to the FBO website in June 2010 under solicitation #AG-0398-S-10-0017.
