- ****ATTENTION****ALL FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION MUST BE DIRECTED TO: Joni Swaim, Contracting Officer, email: joni.swaim@us.army.mil. No telephone calls will be accepted. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aviation & Missile Command Contracting Center intends to issue a three-year, Firm Fixed Price, (Basic + two-100% Options) requirements type contract which covers various CH-47 parts. The proposed acquisition consists of 67 nomenclatures, National Stock Numbers (NSNs), Army Part Numbers (APNs) with maximum quantities for each item. Options will be placed against this contract as requirements materialize for the various items for Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 through FY 2013. This requirement is restricted to The Boeing Company (CAGE: 77272) because the data needed to procure these parts competitively are not physically available, cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications of the material for a competitive solicitation and the government also lacks rights to data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. The Government has been unable to economically buy the data rights to the data. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Standard Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
