- Description of Work: Item #1: IRON SPRINGS CREEK CULVERT- Furnish and install Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert, minor grading, obstruction removal, minor concrete paving, place stream control structures, rip rap placing, aggregate surfacing and topsoiling. Item #2: - IRON SPRINGS TRAIL BRIDGE - This work consists of removing the existing bridge from its current foundations, excavating the abutment fills to new abutment elevations, installing new foundations with helical pile supports, installing erosion control gabions, and re-setting existing bridge back onto the new foundations. All work to be done as outlined in the Plans, Drawings, Specifications, Special Project Provisions and Construction Notes for this project. Project Locations: Item #1: The IRON SPRINGS CREEK CULVERT project is located approximately three (3) miles north of McLeod, ND in Section 19, Township 135 North, Range 52, Richland County, North Dakota. Item #2: The IRON SPRINGS TRAIL BRIDGE project is located approximately five (5) miles north and one half (1/2) mile east of McLeod, ND in Section 17, Township 135 North, Range 52, Richland County, North Dakota. Iron Springs Trail Bridge is accessible from National Forest System Road (NFSR) 1234. Price Range. $100,000 – 250,000 Pre-Bid Tour: No formal site tour is planned, however, bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the sites prior to preparing and submitting their bid. Government-Furnished and Delivered Property: None Estimated Start Date/Period of Performance: It is anticipated that work can begin August 1, 2010. Work shall be completed within 90 days of the issuance of the Notice To Proceed. It is anticipated the solicitation for this project will be posted in June 2010.
