- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.navsea.navy.mil/nswc/crane/working/contracting/default.aspx.FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. This requirement is for a 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for 5.56mm long-range ammunition (AA53 - MK262 Mod 1) manufactured in accordance with the Government Statement of Work and performance specification DS/4083/C02/1273B. The Government requires a minimum/maximum quantity of 15/6,097 BX (1,640 rounds per wirebound box). The solicitation will be issued competitively as a 100% small business set-aside. FAR Part 12 is not applicable to this procurement. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Delivery is required FOB destination, 120 days from effective date of delivery order, with inspection and acceptance at the contractor's facility. Contractors must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive the solicitation attachments. Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet at www.ccr.gov. Information about the JCP is located at http://www.dlis.dla.mil. The solicitation attachments will be posted to FedBizOpps at the same time the solicitation is posted. FedBizOpps may be accessed at http://www.fbo.gov. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration database (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at www.ccr.gov. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the Government is considering past performance and price related factors. The applicable NAICS classification is 332992. The solicitation will be available on or about 01 JUN 2010 at the following address: http://www.navsea.navy.mil/nswc/crane/working/contractingIt is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the NSWC Crane Acquisition, FedBizOpps and/or NECO websites for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
