- THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS ADVERTISED AS 100% SMALL BUSINESS CONCERN SET-ASIDE IAW FAR 19.502-2(a). THIS POSTING WILL BE REFERRED TO UNDER REQUEST FOR QUOTE NUMBER: 62680AQ010. THE UPCOMING ACQUISITION WILL FALL UNDER NAICS 237110, WATER WELL/ WELL PUMP AND WELL PIPING SYSTEM INSTALLATION WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF $33.5M. This project includes providing all materials, equipment, and labor required to install a 1 1/2 inch waterline (6 ft depth minimum) approximately 290 feet from existing water meter to fire cache building and to connect to existing 1 inch black poly waterline stubbed out of water main and existing building at the Huron WMD Maintenance facility located approximately 8 miles west of Huron, South Dakota (Beadle County). Work shall include locating existing underground lines/obstacles, installingl 2 curb stops to attach to new building and stubbing out for future expansion project, installing curbstop drain back valve and riser to facilitate winterization of building, pressurizing and checking line for leaks, and back filling/grading all disturbed areas. All work shall be in accordance with statement of work and specifications that are listed in the upcoming solicitation. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE Prospective bidders are highly encouraged to visit the site located in Beadle County, South Dakota in order to examine the existing site conditions by making arrangements with the Project Leader. Site Visit information will be listed in the solicitation. GENERAL INFORMATION The project will be solicited using the Request for Quotes process, with the intent to award a firm fixed price contract. The estimated magnitude of construction is less than $25,000. The project completion date is July 1, 2010. The solicitation package (RFQ) is anticipated to be available electronically on or about 27 May 2010 to all interested Offerors with an anticipated closing date of 11 June 2010 at 4:00 pm Central Time. Offers received after this date and time will be considered non responsive in accordance with 52.212-1(f) and will not be evaluated. Copies of the solicitation can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance.
