- This is a PRESOLICITATION NOTICE for a design/build construction project to Remove existing grass of the ball field and replace with field monofilament turf. The work includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, material, equipment and performing all operations in connection with the following: improvements to existing surface (approximately 80,000 square feet), provide drainage system, soil replacement, including inlaid markings for softball and mini soccer and other incidental related work.The work to be done by the Designer/Builder will include all design and engineering work required to obtain approval and certification from the Navy, NAVFAC-MW, Great Lakes, Illinois. All drawings and calculations will be prepared by the Designer/Builder. The location of the work is on Constitution Field at Naval Station Great Lakes. Period of Performance is 90 days for construction after approval of the design. This acquisition will be procured on an UNRESTRICTED basis. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, and the annual size standard is $14,000,000. Estimated cost is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. This acquisition will result in a FIRM FIXED-PRICE contract acquired through competitive negotiations procedures. Technical and price proposals will be evaluated. The solicitation for this Procurement will be issued tentatively after June 10, 2010.
