- This acquisition is to establish a three year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract to acquire, using other than full and open competition procedures, signal data converter NSN 6620-01-423-2612UC P/N 8090-0101 applicable to the Malfunction Analysis Detection and Recording System (MADARS) for the C-5A/B/C aircraft. The quantities are as follows: Year 1 ordering period 1-69 each; Year 2 ordering period 1-25 each; Year 3 ordering period 1-25 each; The signal data converter is used with the MADARS system to monitor engine variable stator vane position. Dimensions: Length: 3.6 inches; Width: 4.31 inches; Height: 2.5 inches; Weight: 1.1 lbs; Material: Enclosed aluminum casing. Note 22 applies. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Ametek -Aerospace GST (CAGE: 99564) under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government does not intend to use FAR Part 12 for this acquisition.
