- The ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE Electronically in Federal Business Opportunities is May 5, 2010. Estimated Response Date: June 11, 2010. Description: Plots and Timber Sales Planned and Prep (McKenzie River) The objective of this project is to gather vegetation information from plots established in stands on the Willamettte National Forest using the U.S. Forest Servcies Comon Stand Exam Protocols, using an electronic portable data recorder to collect the data and GPS unit to document the location of plots. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, supplies, material, equipment, labor, services, transportation (except those items listed as Government-Furnished), to perform the Statement of Work/Specifications, which will be referenced in the solicitation. The anticipated period of performance is 90 days from the effective date of the notice to proceed; the estimated start work date is July 29, 2010. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract. Project work will be confined to the McKenzie River Ranger District. The project can be located as follows: Stands are located in T13S R7 1/2E, T17S R5E, and T18S R5E; the project work will be executed in both Lane and Linn Counties. To get to Green Mnt- Location: From Eugene, Oregon, travel East on OR-126 for about 8 miles. Turn Left at Main St/OR-126E and continue to follow OR-126E approximately 39 miles. Turn right at Cougar Dam Rd/National Forest Road 19. After about.5 miles there is a slight right turn to continue on Road 19. Travel about 3 miles and that is the far North boundary of the project area. To get to Big Hoodoo-Location: From Eugene, Oregon, travel East on OR-126 for about 8 miles. Turn Left at Main St/OR-126E and continue to follow OR-126E approximately 77 miles. Turn right onto OR/126 E/ US-20E for about 10 miles. Turn right on National Forest Road 2690 which will be the far North boundary of the project area. Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about May 12, 2010, The estimated response date for the quotes is about June 11, 2010.
