Description
All labor, equipment and materials necessary for the Outer Breakwater Rehabilitation at Neah Bay, Washington. The Neah Bay Outer Breakwater is an 8,000 ft long rubble mound breakwater located in Neah Bay, Washington. The breakwater is subjected to ocean swell that propagates through the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Pacific Ocean. These conditions cause significant overtopping of the breakwater and have historically resulted in repeated failure of the center reach of the breakwater between. The purpose of this project is to repair the damaged sections of the breakwater in a manner that reduces the frequency of damage to the repaired areas and increases the overall stability of the structure. This contract will repair the breakwater to an crest elevation of 18ft MLLW with a 25ft crest width and 1.5:1 (H:V) side slopes. In addition, the breakwater will be re-capped with larger armor stones (14 tons median size) to increase the stability of the structure. This will be accomplished by relocating some existing rock (and adding new core rock as needed) to re-establish the design slope and then capping the core material with a single layer of larger armor units. The 25 ft wide crest of the repair section will taper to the existing stable portions of the breakwater (15 ft wide). Estimated Cost Range: $1,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00 Project is open to both large and small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $33.5 million. For the purposes of this procurement, a firm is a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $33.5 million.
