Description
RECOVERY. This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the GSA Federal Supply Schedule 66 - Scientific Equipment and Services. The project will be funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009. Funds are not presently available for this project. Award will subject to if/when appropriated funds are available. Description of requirement: The Food and Drug Administration is soliciting for a Microwave Accelerated Reaction System (MARS) for the NCTR/ORA Nanotechnology Core. The requirement is for a microwave digestion system for simultaneous preparation of multiple (up to 40) samples for ICP-MS trace metals analysis. EPA methods common to trace metals analyses preprogrammed into instrument computer. Accurate temperature control of each (of up to 40) vessel with-in a sample dissolution program (temperature control consists of 2 NIST traceable calibrated temperature sensors accurately controlling the internal temperature of every vessel to a maximum vessel number of 40 per run and onboard instrument installed electronics allowing full monitoring of each vessels to 330°C). Onsite installation and training is required. This procurement will be firm-fixed price and will be competed under pre-existing Multiple Award Federal Supply Schedule contracts. The government intends to do a comparison among GSA schedule 66 holders.
