Description
RECOVERY- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR THE INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO EXISTING CONTRACT #DOL- J08PA00003. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity is available only under contract number DOL-J08PA00003. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps has awarded a modification in the amount of $306,124 to the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center operated by Career Systems Development Corporation. These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and are within the amounts approved in the PRB dated April 30, 2010 for Construction/Rehab and Equipment ARRA projects. It would be impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification is to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is provided for equipment for the Weatherization projects focusing on energy reduction and Weatherization training to prepare students for opportunities as installers and auditors focused on energy reduction. Funds are also provided for a Hot Water Heater. The operator of this center will utilize these funds to make available additional training opportunities to the students of the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center. This award may allow for subcontracting possibilities.
