- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst is requesting information pertaining to a Next Generation Vibration Analyzer (NGVA) that shall be a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or modified COTS item that utilizes both COTS hardware and software wherever possible and practical. The NGVA shall be capable of performing dynamic balancing of propellers, rotor systems, and shafts. The NGVA shall collect, process, and display vibration data for airframes, engines, and gearboxes on fixed and rotary wing aircraft. The NGVA shall utilize state-of-the-art displays and instrumentation technologies. The NGVA will operate on the flight line, flight deck, and expeditionary airfield environment. As required for any typical Navy Common Support Equipment (CSE), the NGVA shall be highly reliable, maintainable, and supportable. The NGVA shall be capable of meeting shock, vibration, environmental, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) criteria. Human factors engineering shall be utilized to the greatest extent possible to make the new NGVA a user-friendly piece of CSE. The NGVA will be a replacement unit for existing support equipment that is outdated and/or unsupportable. The NGVA shall include the following features/requirements: - Utilization of proven commercially available PC type architecture (COTS, expandable, compact) – Utilize open architecture design to facilitate technology insertion to support emerging requirements – Modularity to minimize obsolescence and increase supportability - Utilization of COTS application software and hardware – Commercially available operating system software with developmental tools/software - Hardened to operate in unsheltered environment - flight deck or expeditionary airfield with EMI/EMV as strong considerations - Operate from 28VDC and 110/120VAC power sources The NGVA will be required to support the following aircraft: C-2A C-130J E-2C E-2D (AHE) P-3C T-2 T-45A/C AH-1W UH-1 CH-53D/E HH-60H MH-60R/S SH-60B SH-60F Please provide commercial pamphlets, operating and maintenance manuals or any other documentation that would describe a unit or system to meet the above requirements.
