- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302 with SeaBotix, Inc, San Diego, CA for one a navigation control system assembly upgrade for underwater robotic vehicle in support of SRF-JRMC Yokosuka Japan. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, utilizing Evaluation of Quotes/Offers and PPIRS-SR as evaluation factors. The navigation control system assembly is required for use in Japan by 12 July 2010. The resulting solicitation will be issued as FOB Travis Air Force Base, CA 94535 for Government trans-shipment forwarding. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities under solicitation number N00406-10-T-1820. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals is NOT available at this time.
