Description
The Nebraska Western Iowa Healthcare System will be soliciting proposals for DME (Durable Medical Equipment) delivery, pickup, maintenance and repair for three (3) VA Medical Center facilities (and associated outpatient clinics). These facilities are as follows: Iowa City VA Medical Center, 601 Hwy 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246, Des Moines VA Medical Center, 3600 30th Street, Des Moines, IA 50310 and the Nebraska Western Iowa Healthcare System (Omaha VA Medical Center, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Ne 68105; Lincoln VA Medical Center, 600 South 70th Street, Lincoln, NE 68510; Grand Island VA Medical Center, 2201 North Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68805). Contractor shall provide staff to deliver Government Owned Property to identified veterans to include setup and training with beneficiaries, repair services and pickup services when necessary. Anticipated period of performance will be September 15, 2010 to September 14, 2011 with three, one-year option periods to be renewed at the Government's discretion. Payment shall be made through a government purchase card and vendors must be approved for Level II purchase card capability prior to award. Request for Proposal (VA-636-10-RP-0178) will be issued on or about June 3, 2010. No telephone requests will be honored. Electronic submissions (disc) are permitted. The government is not responsible to make available paper copies. Questions must be submitted in writing to the contracting officer. If contractors will submit questions, they are strongly encouraged to do so within five (5) calendar days after issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP). Verbal questions will not be addressed. All responses to questions which may affect offers will be incorporated into a written amendment to the solicitation. Offeror's are encouraged and are responsible for routinely checking this web-site for any solicitation amendments that may be issued throughout the proposal period. Offer due date and time for proposals will be included in the solicitation document. This procurement is set aside for Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB). Proposals from vendors who are not registered with VetBiz as VOSB will not be considered at this time. The possibility exists for a single or multiple awards. Contractors are required to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and VetBiz before contract award. NAICS Code for this requirement is 532291. Size standard is $7.0 million.
