- Crater Lake National Park (CRLA)Rental of Dump Truck and Water Truck This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the rental of a Dump Truck and a Water Truck, commercial items, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-40 of April 22, 2010. Quotations are being requested via this notice only. A written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation/Request for Quotations (RFQ) number is Q9320102042. The acquisition is RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 532490 Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing and the size standard is an average of $7 Million or less in annual receipts. Multiple awards may be made. Contract Line Item 1 is the rental of One (1) Dump Truck; 10-12 cubic yard capacity bed; with engine brake; Needed June 28 through September 30, 2010. Contract Line Item 2 is the rental of One (1) Water Truck; minimum 4,000 gallon capacity; PTO or auxiliary engine powered water application pump; Hose reel; Air actuated spray heads; Fire hydrant connectivity for filling; Needed June 28 through September 30, 2010. Quotations should describe make and model of truck; daily, weekly, and monthly rates; any other fees; location of truck; optional cost of delivery and pick up. All equipment rented by CRLA shall be free of defects, leaks, or any other abnormality that would otherwise prevent the equipment from functioning as intended by the manufacturer, in an environmentally sound manner and in accordance with all OSHA regulations for operator safety. In the event of a breakdown of 48 hours or more whereas the equipment must be removed from service, the vendor supplying the rental equipment will substitute the broken unit at the vendor's expense with a unit of equal or greater capability as deemed appropriate by the Road Supervisor at CRLA; any such substitution shall include, at the vendor's expense, transport of the equipment to and from CRLA. If option to deliver trucks is exercised by CRLA, delivery shall be to Crater Lake National Park, Maintenance Yard, Park Headquarters, 4 miles north of Hwy 62. Deliveries may be made between 8:00am- 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (to be completed and provided with quotation); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (applicable are: (5)(i)-52.219-6; (16)-52.222-26; (17)-52.222-35; (18)-52.222-36; (19)-52.222-37; (21)-52.225-1; and (29)-52.232-33.
