Description
This project will provide design and construction services for the Altus AFB Airfield and Runway. This project will have a base bid and four project options. The base bid will include providing survey, design, and construction services to the existing asphalt surface of Runway 17L/35R, milling the surface, proof rolling the milled surface, transportation of the milled materials, installation of prime/tack coats, and installing a new hot mix asphalt concrete to the original surface elevations, surveying the finished surface, and applying pavement striping and markings. Option 1 will provide design, surveying, and construction to convert the unusable to aircraft parking spots 1-8 from asphalt to structural concrete capable of supporting a multitude of airframes in the Air Force Inventory. Option 2 will provide design and construction services to install Assault Landing Zone (AZL) lighting at 35R in accordance with the approved FAA and ETL design. Option 3 will provide surveying and work in regarding several low lying areas located within the confines of the Airfield to correct current storm drain problems. Option 4 will be to relocate, repair, and install new airfield signage in accordance with applicable requirements. Contractor will be required to plan and coordinated the work with current Air Force training requirements. The estimated cost range for this project is between $10 million - $25 million. Site visit informationw will be provided with Solicitation. Solicitation anticipated to be issued on or about June 21, 2010.
