Description
Funds will be provided under ACC Straddle B A uthority. This project will be funded by 30 September 2010 or will be cancelled. Because funds are not currently available for this project FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the contract. This synopsis is to establish a new contract for the construction of a weapons storage facility in the 823 rd Red Horse Squadron Compound at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The period of performance for this acquisition is 290 days. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price contract. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other items necessary to perform work under the contract specifications and drawings and Statements of Work. Hurlburt Field is an Air Force installation that is located in the Florida Panhandle mid-way between Panama City and Pensacola, FL. This competitive acquisition is set-aside for small businesses in the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HubZone) program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. This requirement will be a "Performance Price Trade-Off"; award will be made based on the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The work is required in support of the 1 st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 23 June 2010. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation will be available ONLY via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov.
