- The United States Air Force, 88th Air Base Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344 is preparing to solicit for a firm-fixed price contract for an environmental high temperature chamber. The contract line items will be firm-fixed price. Proposal equipment shall meet the requirements contained in the specifications below: 1. Quantity of one (1) environmental high temperature chamber must have the following characteristics. a. Digital control handset b. Optical glass window for use with optical and video extensometers c. Temperature range: -150° C to + 350° C d. Internal Height: 660 mm; Internal Width: 400 mm; Internal Depth: 400 mm e. External Height: 810 mm; External Width: 550 mm; External Depth: 930 mm f. High Door hinged on the left side of the chamber g. Line Voltage: 240 VAC single phase, 30 A, 50/60 Hz. Fitted with 250 V/30 A, NEMA L6-30P h. Removable Wedge option i. Chamber filler plug, for use Type C (5/8"), Type O (12 mm) or Type OO (6mm) pullrods. Plug inner diameter: 35 mm; plug outer diameter: 66.5 mm 2. Quantity of one (1) Cooling Options for environmental high temperature chamber a. LN2 Cooling Module b. LN2 Cooling Module w/ temperature range -150° C c. LN2 Coolant hose set, 2 meters ½ in BSP female on both ends d. Coolant Inlet Hose for LN2, 1.8 meters insulated PTFE hose with a ½ in BSP female and a CGA 295 female end 3. Quantity of one (1) Roller Carriage Mounting a. Roller Carriage Brackets for specific chamber b. Chamber roller bracket c. Frame mounting bracket d. Short support Leg (leg height adjustable 710 - 1360 mm 4. Quantity of one (1) Installation Half Day Installation of hardware/software by service representative Temperature Verification, In-Situ Method, Single Point Environmental Chamber or furnace. Temperature Verification, additional point We intend to award this contract sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered. The proposed source is Instron, 825 University Avenue, Norwood, MA 02062-2643. At this time no small business set-aside is expected. NAICS Code 334519, Size Standard 500 employees.
