- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT TO REPLACE EXISTING SOUTH BOUNDARY FENCE WITH NEW ORNAMENTAL FENCE AT THE CAMP NELSON NATIONAL CEMETERY, NICHOLASVILLE, KY (NRM PROJECT 10-19) The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting proposals under Solicitation Number VA-786A-10-IB-0101 for the following: The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, material, and supervision necessary to replace the existing south boundary fence with new ornamental fence and paint existing ornamental fence at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery as described herein and other specific task as further defined by this Information for Bid (IFB), drawings and specifications. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting proposals for the project under Solicitation Number VA-786A-10-IB-0101 for the following: General Construction: All work shown on the plans and described in the specifications including but not limited to: remove and scrap metal recycle the existing 6"-0" high chain link fence and concrete fence post foundations at all locations where new ornamental steel fence is to be installed by this project, as shown between point "A" and "D" along the south cemetery property boundary. Backfill old chain link fence post holes and other holes with clean fill and compact in 4" lifts to ground surface. Carefully realign and secure approximately 160 linear feet of existing ornamental fencing between points "C" and "D" clean, paint. Reset all existing posts with concrete as detailed for the new ornamental fence. Realign for smooth neat appearance. MAGNITUDE OF COST: Between $100,000 and $250,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 90 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice To Proceed. NAICS CODE: 238190 SIZE STANDARD: $14.0 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE 100% FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE CONTRACT. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) Part 14 to a responsible and responsive service disabled veteran owned small business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Request for Proposal (RFP) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation and drawings will be released for issue on or about June 22, 2010. Last day for questions for this solicitation is 2:00pm (EST) on July 1, 2010 and must be submitted in writing to Susan Lam at susan.lam@va.gov. Government will not be responsible for receipt of the questions. Contractors may follow up by phone or email to insure receipt of questions. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps.
