Description
DESC: Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Rix Industries to provide services to 'Groom' a grand total of two (2) each Rix High Pressure Air Compressors (HPACs) #1 and #2 to original design specifications of NAVSEA Technical Manual S9550-CB-MMA-010 at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. The contractor shall provide various original equipment manufacturer (OEM) contractor preventative maintenance and repair services to correct existing internal and external air, coolant, and oil leaks, troubleshooting, and corrective adjustments, to insure the #1 and #2 HPACs continue to operate trouble-free. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOI), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, capability statements, proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror's ability to meet all requirements. The Government will consider all EOIs, capability statements, proposals, or quotations received from responsible sources within three days of publication of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. EOIs sent via the US Postal Service should be mailed to PHNSY & IMF, 667 Safeguard Street, Ste. 500, Pearl Harbor, HI 96860 (Attn: Sandy Nagayama). EOIs may be submitted via email to Sandra.nagayama@navy.mil. Submitters bear the burden of ensuring that the EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on time. EOIs that arrive after the specified deadline will not be considered. The submitter bears the risk of non-receipt of EOIs and should confirm by telephone that EOI was received. This purchase will be under FAR Part 13 and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is June 10, 2010.
