Description
DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid-Atlantic Consolidated Patient Account Center (MACPAC) located at 128 Bingham Road, Suite 500, Asheville, North Carolina intends to procure sole source with Dr. Linda Lakin, 1217 Desert Sage Drive, Hobbs, New Mexico 88242. NAICS code 611430 applies to this procurement. The five day training covers creative collaboration, time management, understanding Department of Veterans Affairs changes and how to manage yourself in light of change for approximately 50 employees. The training will address the following: Identify components and application of the High Performance Development Model; Describe strategies to assist with managing work transitions; Describe techniques to enhance personal communication skills; Discuss strategies to maintain self-control while responding to conflict in the work environment; Identify ways to improve team performance. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement must supply information about their capabilities to the Contracting Officer no later than 12:00 p.m. EST, June 11, 2010. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government and can be sent via e-mail. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitations will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Responses and questions must be submitted via email to Catherine Artis at Catherine.artis@va.gov and received by 12:00 p.m. EST on June 11, 2010.
