Description
The Multibeam Sonar System will have the following salient characteristics: - Sonar bottom detection quality flags for each beam. Bottom detection uncertainty output calculated for each beam and output from the sonar in real-time.- Managed backscatter output (provides 100% beam footprint samples plus a 3dB beam overlap regardless of beam forming method) - Full beam watercolumn samples available for each beam (for least depth verification via Fledermaus and EchoView processing software.) Autopilot sonar tuning (for hands free sonar operation) - Adaptive sonar beam gating and fixed sonar gates. - Roll stabilization (for increased efficiency) - Real-time (automatic) sonar hardware performance check view (built-in test tool) - Variable swath width - Separate projector and receiver modules 200 and 400 kHz - Choice of equi-distant and equi-angular beam spacing Choice of 256 or 512 equi-angle and equi-distant beams - 1/2 degree x 1 degree at 400 kHz - 140 degree maximum swath from single flat-array receiver - Single sonar topside processing unit (TPU) with Windows OS capable of running Hypack and Applanix POS Controller software. TPU should have as minimum 4 separate video outputs, 8 serial ports, and 2 1GBit LAN ports with at least 1 Terabyte of data storage. - Sonar data is time-stamped in sonar to better than +/-0.5ms - Technical Service & Hydrographic Support personnel are available during regular business hours (EST). The estimated cost of this procurement is over $100,000. This solicitation will be available on or about 24 June 2010 and will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website) which links to the FedTeds website (see below). Prospective contractors are required to self register their firm on the Internet to receive this solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the internet at https://www.fedteds.gov. Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests will be accepted. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED and is available to contractors under GSA Federal Supply Schedule 66, SIN 66-613.
