Description
Invitation for Bids The Oneonta Job Corps Academy (OJCA) and Education & Training Resources (ETR); located at 21 Homer Folks Avenue, Oneonta, N.Y. 13820, 607-433-2111, are desirous of a certified, bonded, licensed, and fully insured contractor to submit a bid on the project mentioned herein; and if successfully awarded the subject contract, to satisfactorily perform the following combined work project according to the established criteria contained within same. Davis Bacon & The Service Contract Act wages apply to this project. There will be a mandatory pre-bid walk through/conference on 14 June 2010 at 10:00 AM. Final bids are due to this center, not later than 18 June 2010 at 1:00 PM. Scope of Work •· Action: OJCA Main Building (Building # 1) Painting Project: •1. Contractor will move all dormitory furniture as needed throughout duration of painting project in order to successfully complete same. •2. Apply 2 coats acrylic, low voc paint to all dormitory room window encasements (approximately 200 encasements). •3. Apply 2 coats acrylic, low voc paint to all metal dormitory bathroom door frames on the inside and outside of same (approximately 40 adjoining metal bathroom door frames). •4. Apply 2 coats of acrylic, low voc paint to all metal Fire Cut-Off Doors, as well as any and all hallway dormitory doors which are metal (3 Sets of metal double doors & 3 singles). •5. Apply 2 coats acrylic, low voc paint to all student dormitory room metal door frames, inside and outside of same (160 door frames). •6. Apply 2 coats acrylic, low voc paint to each dormitory hallway wall (approximately 2,280 total sf of hallway wall). •7. Apply 2 coats of acrylic, low voc paint to 6 mop rooms (approximately 500 sf each). •8. Apply 2 coats of acrylic, low voc paint to 6 small supply rooms (approximately 400 sf each). •9. Apply 2 coats acrylic, low voc paint to the walls and ceilings of each student dormitory lounge (eight student lounges approximately 1000 sf each). •10. Apply 2 coats of acrylic, low voc paint to the walls and ceilings of 2 kitchenettes located on the 2 separate female dorms (approximately 500 sf each). •11. Apply 2 coats of acrylic, low voc paint to the walls and ceilings of the dormitory ILA office (6 offices). •12. Apply 1 coat of mold resistant primer, and 2 coats acrylic, low voc, mold resistant paint to approximately 40 adjoining dormitory student bathroom ceilings (approximately 60 SF of area for each). •13. Apply 1 coat of mold resistant primer, and 2 coats acrylic, mold resistant, low voc paint to each main shower room ceiling (6 main shower rooms). •14. Apply 1 coat mold resistant primer and 2 coats mold resistant, acrylic, low voc paint to the walls and ceilings of each dormitory main bathroom (8 bathrooms approximately 700sf each). •15. Apply 1 coat mold resistant primer and 2 coats mold resistant, acrylic, low voc paint to the walls of student dormitory laundry rooms (8 student dormitory laundry rooms approximately 700 sf each). •16. Apply 1 coat heat resistant primer, and 2 coats acrylic, low voc, heat resistant paint to approximately 160 radiators located in student dormitory rooms. •17. Successful contractor will be responsible for any paint scraping which is necessary to complete project professionally and for repairing all holes in identified surfaces to be painted, which are less than one inch in diameter.
