- U.S. GOVERNMENT SEEKS TO LEASE APPROXIMATELY 3,800 RENTABLE SQUARE FEET OF WAREHOUSE SPACE IN SAN DIEGO, CA REQUIREMENT : The United States Government is interested in leasing a minimum of 3,330 usable square feet to a maximum 3,660 usable square feet yielding approximately 3,800 rentable square feet of warehouse space in San Diego within fifteen (15) driving miles of the following address: METROPOLITAN CORRECTIONAL CENTER 808 UNION STREET SAN DIEGO, CA 92101 The warehouse will be a detailed work assignment for out-custody inmates who are housed at the Metropolitan Correction Center (MCC) San Diego, CA. The inmates will work at the facility between the hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday - Friday. The anticipated term is for fifteen (15) years, five (5) years firm. The estimated occupancy date is August 1, 2010. The design of the space offered shall be conducive to efficient layout and good utilization as determined by the Government. The warehouse facility offered for consideration must be of sound and substantial construction of the type generally recognized as contemporary with the ability to demonstrate meeting all current Federal/GSA-PBS, State, and local codes and regulations including but not limited to fire and life safety, OSHA standards, and accessibility compliance (Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standard (ABAAS) or, if not, landlord must be willing to make the building fully ABAAS compliant). The warehouse must be free of asbestos and not located in a flood plain. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS : Expressions of interest must be submitted in writing and should include the following information at minimum: •* Building name and Address •* Rentable square feet and rentable rate per square foot •* Method of Measurement used to determine rentable square feet •* Offers must be submitted by owner (s) or by authorized representatives of the owner (s) only.
