- Specs Questions SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (Not a Notice of Solicitation) The United States Air Force, 88th Air Base Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is seeking potential sources to provide 9 transformer substations. Firms responding should specify their products which meet the technical specifications attached and provide detailed product information to show clear technical compliance. Additionally, sales history of the products should be provided for products specified. The Air Force anticipates eventually conducting a competitive acquisition for this award. All interested firms shall submit information regarding the anticipated lead time and a budgetary estimate. Please note no vendor shall be held to the monetary estimate they provide, it is for our market research purposes only. Firms responding should indicate whether they are, or are not, a small business, a socially and economically disadvantaged business, or a woman owned business. The general definition of a small business is one that is independently owned and operated, is not dominant in the field of operation in which it is proposing on Air Force contracts and with its affiliates; and the number of employees does not exceed 750. NAICS Code to be used for this acquisition is 335311. The Air Force reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based upon responses hereto for any subsequent acquisition. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a Foreign-owned/Foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this synopsis as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose. Attached are the general and technical specifications for this project. For market research purposes please indicate if you can in fact complete this project as it is written in the specifications. Please note if you take any exemptions to ANY of the specifications and why. Please also discuss if all specifications are typical industry practices. Additionally, please complete and return Attachment 2 "Questions for Contractors". All information should be submitted by email to Jessica Morgan at jessica.morgan@wpafb.af.mil by Wednesday, June 16th at 5:00 pm Eastern time.
