- T The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Matomic Operating Company, 2122 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., Suite 12, Washington, DC 20008 for the following item(s): CLIN 0001: Base Year - Ten (10) reserved parking permits; CLIN 0002: Option Year One - Ten (10) reserved parking permits; CLIN 0003: Option Year Two - Ten (10) reserved parking permits; CLIN 0004: Option Year Three - Ten (10) reserved parking permits; and CLIN 0005: Option Year Four - Ten (10) reserved parking permits. The agency requires 24/7 parking garage access and have reserved handicap spaces. The parking needs to be convenient for employees, and house official government vehicles at employees work location. Parking garage needs to be located with in the building. It needs to have stairwells and elevators available as well as adequate lighting. Parking garage must use surveillance equipment. Valet assistance available after hours in garage. CBP needs to have 14 parking spots permits available. A reserved parking area segregated from the general parking population, for the use of certain law enforcement vehicles that contain weapons, K-9 units and/or sensitive equipment, and certain vulnerable law enforcement personnel. Government-owned vehicles specially designed and used for law enforcement activities and criminal apprehension functions. Vehicles of employees whose major responsibilities include the essential operations and management of the Customs and Border Protection facilities, and who may be required to work longer than usual hours, and be present during building emergencies, regardless of the hour. The authority for this proposed contract action is FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority cited above. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The synopsis will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site Http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
