Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement for Crystal Group Common Storage Units (p/n CMS-00096). At the direction of SPAWAR PMW160, Naval Networks Command, the Crystal Group CMS-00096 is the server that will be used in the onboard system design for both surface ships and submarines. NUWCDIVNPT's Submarine Local Area Network (SubLAN) group requires this specific Crystal Group server for development and testing of software, as it is identical to the Crystal Group servers that are being procured by the SubLAN shipboard procurement agency (SPAWAR San Diego) for deployment on the fleet and other SubLAN Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) centers throughout the Navy. Sole Make and Model will be required, no substitutions will be allowed. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 334112, size standard is 1,000 employees. Further details on the procurement will be released upon issue of RFP #N66604-10-Q-3551, which is anticipated to be on or about 06/19/2010. Required delivery is 6-8 weeks after contract ward, FOB Destination (Naval Station Newport). Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Instructions for registering are available at the CCR website. Prospective contractors must also have an active ORCA registration. Instructions for registering are available at https://orca.bpn.gov/. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
