THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER: W91278-10-D-0001, Bowhead Science and Technology. The Mobile District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is placing a task order against Contract No. W91278-10-D-0001, awarded as a Sole Source 8(a) Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract for Scientific and Technical Support Services on 05 Oct 2010. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide guidance to all the Navigation and Coastal Databank (NCDB) GIS Analyst across all USACE Districts and the Joint Airborne Lidar Bathymetry Technical Center of Expertise (JALBTCX). The contractor will setup and configure the ESRI Geospatial Portal technology. The role of a geospatial information portal is to connect geospatial data producers and users by (1) enabling producers of geospatial information resources to create and post metadata records (citations describing their information resources) and (2) enabling users of geospatial information resources to search for and discover metadata records that cite the particular resources that will be helpful to them. Contractor shall coordinate operations with local district USACE personnel and other contract personal to determine potential sources of data. The existing contract must be used for the following reason: 1) The work to be performed is within scope of the original contract. 2) The incumbent contract has the management, technical and administrative skills to efficiently and effectively accomplish this work. 3) This contract enables the work to begin immediately. Contract clauses required for project involving Recovery Act funds have been incorporated into the existing contract. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) contain specific acquisition requirements that must be met when using Recovery Act funds, including compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
